Welcome to dmads
If you have been following me for a while, you might know me from MADS or WebsByMads. Two separate studios, two separate websites, two separate everything. It made sense at the time, but as the business grew it started to feel like I was working against myself.
So earlier this year, I made the decision to bring everything together under one name: dmads.
What is dmads?
dmads stands for digital marketing and design studio. It is everything I have been doing for the past five years, social media, graphic design, website design, and marketing, all under one roof, all handled by me.
The idea behind it is simple. Businesses should not have to juggle multiple suppliers, repeat themselves to different people, or wonder if their website designer and their social media manager are working towards the same goal. When everything comes through one person who genuinely knows your brand, the work is better, the communication is cleaner, and nothing falls through the gap.
Why the rebrand?
Honestly? I never fully loved the old names. I could not get the .com for MADS and ended up with mads-online.com which never felt quite right. And explaining to people that WebsByMads was the website side and MADS was the marketing side got old quickly.
I wanted a name I was proud to say out loud. One that made sense instantly and tied everything together.
dmads does that. And the fact that it is a nod to my last name, Madden, makes it feel genuinely mine in a way the old names never quite did.
What stays the same
Everything that mattered. The quality of the work, the direct communication, the fact that you will always deal with me and nobody else. No account managers, no junior being handed your brief, no nasty surprises.
I have been working in marketing and design for over ten years, with clients ranging from solo freelancers to global brands. That experience does not change with a new name.
I am also still a Squarespace Platinum Partner, which puts dmads in the top tier of trusted Squarespace web designers in the UK.
