    We start with a free, no-pressure call about your business, your customers and what you want your website to do. Maybe that’s more bookings, more enquiries, or simply looking as good online as you do in person. I’ll suggest the pages you need and how they should work together, then send you a clear plan with your monthly price. No jargon, and no obligation to go ahead.

    Once you’ve signed up and paid your first month, I get to work. I design your site around your brand, your customers and the way people actually use websites, then send you a private preview link so you can see it come to life. You get two rounds of changes to get it just right. Then I build it properly, set it up for Google, connect your domain and take it live, with your email left exactly as it is.

  • Looked after

    Launch day is just the beginning. Every month I host your site, keep it secure, back it up and check that your pages and forms are working. When something needs updating, like new prices, photos, menus or opening hours, just send me a message and I’ll sort it, with up to 3 changes a month included. You never have to log in to your website. It’s all covered, and you always deal directly with me.

I started dmads, short for digital marketing and design studio, because businesses deserve creative work that's actually good. Not rushed, not templated, not handed off to someone who doesn't know your brand.

You might know me from MADS or WebsByMADS; well, dmads‍ ‍brings both together in one place, making it easier to get everything you need without bouncing between two sites.

I've been working in marketing and design for over ten years, with clients ranging from solo freelancers to global brands.

  • £59 a month on a 12-month plan, with no setup fee. The design and build of a site up to 5 pages is included, worth £1,000. Your monthly fee covers hosting, security, backups, up to 3 changes a month and support from me. The SEO Plan is an optional extra at £399 a quarter.

  • Most sites go live within two to three weeks. The biggest factor is usually content, so the sooner I have your words, photos and logo, the sooner we launch. I’ll agree a launch date with you before we start.

  • Your first month is paid when you sign up, and I start designing straight away. After that it’s £59 on the same date each month. There’s no setup fee and no surprise bill at launch.

  • You get 20 days’ grace from the date a payment is due. If it’s still unpaid after 20 days, your website is taken offline until the payment is made. As soon as you’ve paid, I’ll put it back live, with nothing lost. If you’re having a tricky month, just let me know and we’ll sort something out.

  • Your domain, your words and your photos are yours from day one. The website itself becomes fully yours once your 12 months are complete. Until then, I host and maintain it for you as part of your plan.

  • Plans run for 12 months to start with. If you cancel before then, the remaining months are still due. After 12 months, your plan simply carries on month by month, and you can leave any time with two months’ notice. The website is yours to keep, and I’ll help you move it to new hosting.

  • No. Your domain name (like yourbusiness.co.uk) and your email accounts stay in your name and are paid for separately, so you’re always in control of them. A domain usually costs around £10 to £20 a year. Business email, through Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, is a few pounds per person each month. If you don’t have them yet, I’ll help you set both up.

  • To keep the price low, a few things are charged separately:

    • your domain name and business email

    • pages beyond the 5 included

    • online shops, booking systems and other paid tools, plus their own fees

    • photography and copywriting (I can quote for both)

    • advertising spend

    • changes beyond 3 a month, or bigger redesigns

  • A change is a small update to your site, like swapping a photo, updating prices, adding a new menu or changing your opening hours. New pages, new sections or a fresh look count as bigger updates, and I’ll quote for those first.

  • More and more people ask tools like ChatGPT or Google’s AI Overviews for recommendations, such as “best café in Hull”. I set up your site and business details so these tools clearly understand what you do and where you are, which makes them more likely to mention you. It’s part of the SEO Plan.

  • No, it’s completely optional. Every monthly website is built with the SEO basics in place, including page titles, a sitemap and Google Search Console. The SEO Plan is for businesses that want to keep climbing the rankings and show up in AI search, with work done and reported on every quarter.

  • You can, but most people don’t need to. Up to 3 changes a month are included, so just send me a message and I’ll sort it.

  • No. I only change the settings that point people to your website, so your email keeps working exactly as it does now.

  • If you’d like your website looked after for you, with no big upfront cost, the monthly plan is the easier option. If you’d rather pay once, own it outright from the start and update it yourself, a custom website from £1,000 is the better fit. Not sure?   • Yes. I’ll keep what’s working, fix what isn’t and move your content across, so nothing gets lost along the way.

  • Yes. I’m based in Hull and work with businesses across East Yorkshire, Yorkshire and the Humber, and throughout the UK. Everything can be done over video call and email, so location is never a problem.
